What’s Happening in My Neighbourhood?
Those are the staff at The Gun, which has just re-opened in our neighbourhood, London Spitalfields. You’re sure to enjoy this venue, so go have fun! I was there at the launch party and have also re-visited with friends. It’s dog-friendly too. A rather fancy place that has become the talk of the town! If you’re interested in hosting your event there, ask for Alexandra and mention me. If you live and/or work in London Liverpool Street area, or are passing by, call our local skincare clinic Skin Smiths on 020 3911 8565 and mention “Emmanuel Ray” to get a fabulous Micro-Dermabrasion treatment for just £30 !!! It’s a brilliant way to…

Autumn Winter ’18 Menswear
A put-together suit; black vintage jacket, old pair of black jeans, a fairly-new light grey waistcoat and dark grey satin tie. I like mixing and matching contrasting fabrics (texture-wise), shades and of course old and new items. Now that the sun is shining brightly in October, in Britain, don’t forget a pair of fabulous shades!

Minotti London 20th Anniversary Celebrations
Italian luxury furniture brand Minotti celebrates its 70th anniversary, and this year also marks the 20th anniversary of Minotti London. I first met its CEO Anke Summerhill at London On Water 2018. The reason she had a tent at this annual boat festival was because she has also started supplying furniture for yachts. I then invited her to the Venus Awards Launch, hosted by its founder Tara Howard, a friend of mine. When Anke invited me to the Minotti London 20th anniversary party, I just knew it would be a fabulous evening. And it was! I wore a retro-style paisley shirt with vintage denims, brown boots and belt, and those…

London On Water 2018 at St Katherine Docks
This annual boat festival happens in the only marina in central London and attracts various brands and companies that are involved in sailing, boating and yachting. Armed with business cards, I attended the festival on all 3 days and managed to meet and network with almost every brand, going from stall to stall. I was pitching them an idea I had and most of them expressed interest in it. I dressed smart casual for this event, and decided to wear my powder-blue Retro jacket, which is like a statement piece. Several people comment on it; “I LOVE your jacket!”, “where did you get it?” etc. The sunglasses were given to…

Venus Awards 2018 Launch Party at Lush Studio, Soho
Main image: Emmanuel Ray with chef Sarah Ali Choudhury at Venus Awards 2018 launch, Lush Studio, London Soho When Tara Howard invited me to the London launch of the awards ceremony she founded, I was excited! Mainly because the last time I saw her was way back in 2013 when she was running the historic Langtry Manor Hotel in Bournemouth. Tara is very entertaining, engaging and charming. I wanted to visit Bournemouth again, but it never happened. So I was looking forward to meeting her after 5 years. The event happened at Lush Studio, London Soho. And as I had expected, Tara’s speech was very entertaining. She founded Venus Awards…

Royal Wedding Party at Devonshire Terrace
The Royal Wedding celebrations at Devonshire Terrace was a wonderful event! It happened on Friday 18 May. They hosted a party complete with glitter face painting, glass slipper smashing and Meghan Sparkles cocktails – a delicious drink mixed with Ketel One Vodka, elderflower, vanilla, violet liqueur and fresh blackberries, then topped up with prosecco. There was also a lot of food around. I particularly liked the sweet snacks. Staff at Devonshire Terrace were as welcoming and charming as always. I went to the party early and left when it was beginning to get too crowded. I live just down the road from the venue, and it was nice of them…
