Swimming Like a Merman at Market Sports!

I’ve always fantasised about being a Merman, swimming in the deep ocean amidst colourful sea life, wearing a custom made merman’s tail and carrying a Trident à la Neptune. But given the fact that my claustrophobia gets worse when I go under water, or get into stagnant water in an enclosed space, this fantasy of mine is yet to become a reality. Apparently he is so good that Luciana Ramos (then manager of the gym), decided to take her star performer with her, when she moved to the new branch The Fitness Mosaic. As much as I enjoyed working out with Lucian, I am in no way going to trek all the way to Chalk Farm, although it isn’t that far from my neighbourhood in Old Street. Outdoor Boot Camp with Market Sports.
I’ve never been to Boot Camp before so I decided to join this class when I heard others talking about it at the gym. Tom McDaid, fitness manager at Market Sports conducted this class on a sunny afternoon last Wednesday. There were eight of us in the class and we started by jogging to a local park. The Boot Camp involved a full body workout. Perfect free style exercises! The start was fun and everyone was clearly enjoying themselves. The last time I practised Yoga was several months ago, with a friend. I’ve never really been to a proper Yoga Class before and often did it with friends who practised it. It was never a regular thing for me. But this time, I decided to join one of the many classes available at Market Sports, which is the best gym I have been to so far, in The City. I’ve never really enjoyed going to the gym, and have always preferred running and exercising at home or outdoors, whenever the weather permits. But ever since I joined Market Sports, I’ve started to enjoy going to the gym, which I thought would never happen.
