This dapper chap is Martin Matos, barman at Baku, London’s top Azerbaijani restaurant & bar. I met him at the London Fashion Week show of PRITCH London and Karen K Boutique, where there was more drama than you can throw a high heeled winklepicker at! Impressed by his style, grooming and personality, I immediately decided to hire him as a model when I launch my bespoke fashion label. (cont..)
He was in a light blue faintly checkered shirt, braces with purple and black checks and a black satin bow tie. He accidentally spilled wine on his clothes while serving the numerous guests at the bar (the fashpack love to drink!). Martin then disappeared and returned in a flash, wearing a red shirt with light ivory pinstripes, a different set of braces (black and red checks this time!) and a red satin bow tie! (cont..)
He told me he always kept a spare set of clothes at work, just in in case. You’ve got to admire a man’s commitment to style. I mean, look at him! Great cheekbones supporting simple yet stylish glasses, perfectly groomed designer stubble and then.. there’s his presence. Needless to add, many ladies seemed to spend quite a lot of time at the bar, and some gentlemen couldn’t resist the urge to chat him up too! When/if you visit Baku, ask for Martin, get a picture with him and share it on Facebook!
Professional, efficient and hard working, Martin often stands in for the DJ, and also helps with various other tasks. He is Baku’s multi tasking man!
Thank you to S Dean Photography for snapping London’s best dressed barman!
